Among other distinguished guests in the 2018-2019 Character and Leadership Lecture series, Howe Military Academy was proud to host Miss Lydia Tremaine, Miss Indiana 2018, to speak to the Corps of Cadets.

Her lecture was transparent and encouraging, speaking openly about her own personal struggles and overcoming them, and how each person can succeed at being a leader. She proudly shared how the arts, particularly theatre and choir, helped her overcome anxiety and self-doubt and blossom into the person she is today. Using her position as Miss Indiana 2018, she has become an advocate for the arts across the state and seeks to encourage young people to strive to be their best and become leaders of integrity and character.

This Character and Leadership lecture series is a pillar in the expanded efforts to instill values of loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity, personal courage, and faith in each cadet at Howe Military Academy.
